Play on Wheels

Play on Wheels is the only daycare center in Langa dedicated to supporting children and youth with profound and severe disabilities, offering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

Festive black background with colorful decorations including small green snowflakes, a green squiggly line, a green rainbow, and a green curly line, giving a holiday or celebratory vibe.

Children living with disabilities face significant challenges, including a higher risk of abuse and exclusion from essential educational and social opportunities. Play on Wheels provides a substitute formal education for children and youth with disabilities who may not have access to mainstream schooling. Additionally, we offer specialised support for preschool-aged children with intellectual disabilities, helping them transition into a school environment.

Our needs-based therapy, specialised interventions, and structured activities focus on enhancing physical, emotional, and cognitive development while fostering confidence and independence.

The daily programmes include

  • Physiotherapy

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Sensory and Motor Stimulation

  • Speech and Language Therapy

  • Exploratory Arts, Crafts and Music

  • Outdoor Play and Walks

  • Environmental learning

  • Mindfulness activities

  • OT therapy

Every child is served a nutritious meal daily to combat malnutrition, and provided access to transport from our center to ensure safety.
